The Original Parts Group has been a great source that we turn to for builds we feature on our site, as well as those for our sister publications. They always seem to have the hard-to-find parts that no one carries or stocks, and it’s these parts that will set apart a build.
It doesn’t even stop at the fact that they catalog and stock parts no one else has, they carry the high-quality versions that keep us from having to turn to eBay rip-offs to finish our projects. That’s why when we heard they were adding even more applications and parts to their catalog, we had to stop by their booth at the 2017 SEMA show to get the skinny on what’s new this year.
Tony Giroux walks us through what’s been added, and what to expect for upcoming additions. They’ve been very busy in the development of several Cadillac parts. Their newest parts include 1962-1964 Cadillac grille emblems, 1963 Cadillac DeVille “V” hood emblems, and tail fin/taillight lens for years that have been hard to hunt down prior. Another big item they are now carrying is the dash assembly for the early Monte Carlos, as well as the dash assembly for early Chevy Malibus.
Also in the booth is a Dream Giveaway car, a 1970 Chevelle 396SS, you can get the full rundown of this factory documented car here. This car isn’t just there to grab the attention of the showgoers, it’s also a demonstration of everything in their catalog that you can use to build a perfect Chevy Chevelle. You can actually go through our site for a chance to win this Chevelle dream car, if you check out our article here, you will then find a special code to get bonus raffle tickets as our thanks for being our reader.
