The 1970-1981 Pontiac Trans Am has long been an enthusiast favorite, and has gone through different stages throughout its life. With a renewed interest in ’70s and ’80s cars and culture, we’re seeing more and more of these cars being restored and restored-modded. There are plenty of companies offering restoration products and services, but Lokar’s LeCarra brand is throwing their hat into the ring with their Trans Am steering wheel.
We actually received one for our own Trans Am project, and the quality is amazing! The color for our 10th-Anniversary Edition exclusive grey is on point, as are the shape and size of the spokes. More on that in an upcoming article, and more details on the wheel below.

Trans Am Steering Wheel by Lecarra
Knoxville, TN – Lecarra’s Trans Am steering wheels definitely conjure up a groovy ‘70s & ‘80s vibe. Modeled after the Pontiac Trans Am steering wheels of the ‘70s and early ‘80s, they’re available in brushed, gold, or black anodized finishes.
A fully polished version is also available. Additionally, there are 12 hand stitched leather colors to choose from, so you’ll be sure to find a combination that works perfectly. The steering wheels bolt right onto original 1970 through 1981 Trans Am hubs but can also be used with one of Lecarra’s hub adapters (sold separately) which fit 1967-94 GM steering columns. Two horn button options are also available and are offered in either black or polished aluminum.
