American Powertrain X-Factor Modular Aluminum Cross Member for 1963-67 Chevy II/Nova
(Cookeville, TN) American Powertrain introduces its new X-Factor modular cross member for 1963-67 Chevy II/Nova. Made from powder coated T-6061 aluminum this cross member bolts to the original unibody crossmember mounts and provides clearance for up to 3.50-inch exhaust.
The X-Factor for early Novas is adjustable to fit the TREMEC TKO, T56/Magnum, Muncie, T10 and LGT700 manual transmissions along with the TH350, TH400, 700R4 and 4l60/65/70E automatics among others. It is compatible with common GM isolator mounts or American Powertrain’s ISO-X ballistic mounts.
Each cross member comes with the modular aluminum center section, steel sub-frame mounting plates, a height adjustable bridge plate and installation hardware. As with all X-factor cross members, the First Gen Nova X-Factor is tested to withstand over 1000ft-lbs of twist. The lightweight construction means big weight savings over steel and it looks cool too.
