No matter how much you might love a certain model car, or how high on the ‘dream cars’ list it may be, there is probably someone out there neglecting that exact car. Time and time again, we are seeing iconic muscle cars being pulled from a leaky barn, under a pile of trash where it’d be sitting for decades without anyone in the outside world knowing about it.
This one will poke a few holes in your heart, it hasn’t been hiding in a barn, but sitting out in the open with no love given to it — this poor 1966 Mustang Shelby GT350H has been rotting into the ground for a long time.
Maybe it’s money, time, illness, or something else that contributes to this weird behavior in car owners. They sometimes get dream cars, and one day it’s just not important for them to take care of the car anymore — then it ends up like this. We’re not sure what contributed to this beautiful classic muscle car turning into a lawn ornament, but it sure has taken a beating from weather and elements, as it’s pretty obviously neglected. It’s really puzzling that someone has had a GT350H just sitting in their driveway for some unknown amount of time.
You can’t help but to want to take the Mustang in and restore it as the crew does a video walk around. As it sits on four flat tires, it would be a heck of an undertaking to restore this Hertz edition GT350. The body has a lot of damage and rust, the floorpans (predictably) are rotted away, the interior is trashed (and has actual trash in it), and pretty much every detail on the car has been touched by time.
It would take a highly skilled professional and a lot of money to make this Shelby roadworthy again. Which is a shame because most people will walk on by at that point. Do you think it’d be worth trying to save this classic GT350H?
