Edelbrock’s AVS2 Series carburetors is the next generation of a long line of Edelbrock carburetors. These AVS2 carbs feature primary booster that have an annular flow and new calibration for improved performance throughout. This new design will improve fuel atomization to avoid those flat spots that can occur when the carburetor turns from idle to full throttle. The annual boosters could actually even improve gas mileage in some applications.
The improved flow of the Edelbrock AVS2 carburetors makes it an ideal model to use on many different applications. It can be used on small-block and big block engines, with dual or single plane intakes. Learn more in the official release from Edelbrock below.

The AVS2 features annular flow primary boosters with a new calibration for improved off idle and cruising performance. The annular flow booster design delivers improved fuel atomization to eliminate flat spots that may be encountered when the carburetor transitions from idle to full throttle. Each annular booster features eight, equally spaced orifices to improve fuel metering from idle to the main. The improved flow metering makes this carburetor ideal for use with a wide variety of small-block and big-block engines with either dual- or single-plane intake manifolds. The AVS2 includes both timed and full vacuum ports for ignition advance.
