G Body Parts Releases Rear Bumper Filler for 1978-87 El Camino

If there’s one thing that gripes many late-70s and ’80s car owners, it’s the cheap plastic body/bumper fillers that the OEMs had installed. How many times have you seen a ’70s or ’80s Cadillac with the chrome bumper fins sticking out six inches passed the quarter panel?

The GM G-bodies of the era were no different; especially the Regals and the El Caminos. For the Elko, it was always the rear filler between the body and rear bumper that cracks with age.

Now, our friends at G Body Parts have introduced a replacement piece for your ’78-87 El Camino and GMC Caballero.

Official Release:

G Body Parts 1978-1987 Chevrolet El Camino TPO/TPUR Rear Center Bumper Filler

A quality way to replace your rear filler on your 1978-87 Chevrolet ElCamino, El Camino SS, CHOO CHOO Custom, Diablo, Conquista, Royal Knight, Black Knight or Caballero. Replaces GM part number #796922.

This is not a cheap plastic or ABS filler. The chemical makeup is like OEM. It has superior modern TPO/TPUR compounds. We had new molds built off the last production runs of the original units. However we made sure that the chemical makeup was better than GM’s originals.

You will not see the pock marks in the fillers and they are ready to scuff, adhesion promote and paint. Since the material is a TPO/TPUR compound you will want to use an adhesion promoter or have it painted by a qualified body shop. They look and feel just like the original GM units, just a better chemical composition. They flex but a tiny bit firmer than OEM. Once painted, it should last upwards of 60 years.

Introductory MSRP of $139.95. All Wholesale discounts apply. ORDER HERE!

Features:

  • Direct replacement for all ’78-87 Chevy El Camino/GMC Caballero
  • OEM fit, but better-than-OEM quality
  • No more dumpster-diving at the yards or at the swap meets for used, or subpar replacements
