The Chevy Camaro has always been a milestone in the performance car realm, and with such a huge enthusiast following always comes the need for restoration and performance parts. For those of you who have been around for awhile, you may be familiar with the Camaro restoration parts company, Rick’s Camaros.
After making a recent transition to CHQ Reproductions, the company’s now liquidating the 30-plus Camaro collection that was once used for advertising and R&D for their restoration parts business. Storage costs and deteriorating vehicle conditions are largely to blame for the upcoming sale, happening this Saturday between 10am and 4pm at 420 Athena Dr. in Athens, Georgia.
The Camaros range in condition, price and model year, from a 1967 hill climb car, a vintage 1st-gen drag racer, a vintage ’69 Z/28 road racer and even a ’97 30th Anniversary convertible, complete with a 6-speed and only 6,000 miles on the clock. Perhaps to even more interest, is the ’67 Hot Rod Magazine test car, another example that was used in a classic BFGoodrich Tires commercial and even a pair of General Motors’ prototype vehicles. If you’re looking for parts cars, rollers or unfinished resto projects, Rick George and his business partner, Greg Postnieks will be happy to let you place a bid on them at the upcoming sale.
If you’re looking for more information about the cars, you can head over to the “25 Camaros For Sale” Facebook page. Good luck!
