VIDEO: Stormtropper 1969 Camaro

In its previous state, this 1969 Camaro was in pretty decent shape. It wouldn’t have taken much to get it to show car shape, but there were greater plans in store for this 1st-gen. Some risky design decision come together perfectly for this build.

There’s a lot of things about this 1969 Camaro that some “purists” wouldn’t normally like, but it all comes together so perfectly. For example, we’re normally against white letter tires on restomods, but since it’s a black and white “Stormtrooper theme,” we hate to admit it, but it’s pretty cool looking.

These tires are mounted to one of our favorite parts of the Camaro. We usually don’t get too overwhelmed with wheels, but these flat black concave wheels on this build look awesome against the stark white paint, and white brake calipers.

Another really cool detail is the oversize glass that gets rid of all of the trim around the rear window. The body mounts up to the glass, and it’s all flush for a really cool, yet subtle, detail. Painted-to-match flush mounted door handles blend in to the body, another really slick feature.

Upfront are fender stripes that you almost miss at first glance. You’ll also notice a few very subtle blue accents on the Camaro, another detail you might miss at first. A custom hood and blacked out grille make is very aggressive looking, although most people will only see the taillights on the road thanks to the 450 RWHP from the LS swapped engine.

The interior is also really impressive. Again, it’s got features we’d normally question, but it works, like the Bentley-style seat covers and door panels. All of the details found in the interior make it really crisp looking. All throughout, this Camaro is just clean and well-crafted. The body lines are all very tight, and someone made bold design decisions to come up with this sleek end product.
